CHILDREN can make their own highwayman disguise during an afternoon travelling back to the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Families can discover what it was like to travel by road in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries on October 31.
‘Perils and Potholes’ at The Temple in Wanstead Park runs between 12pm and 3pm and families will be able to learn about travelling by coach, riots against toll roads and dangerous highwaymen.
As well as becoming highwaymen, children will be able to try their hand at making their own sedan chair.
The afternoon is free to attend and suitable for all ages.
