A MAN found with serious head injuries at Walthamstow Central station at the weekend was allegedly involved in a stabbing near Lloyd Park earlier that day, it has emerged.
Police swooped on the transport hub at 8.50am on Saturday (October 13) and arrested the man aged in his 30s before he was taken to hospital.
The area was closed off for part of the morning while officers investigated the scene.
The Met has now revealed he was arrested in connection with the stabbing of a man in Marten Road, near Lloyd Park, at around 8.20am the same day.
The man, whose age and name has not been released, was knifed in the back in an alleged street fight.
A 45-year-old woman was also found at the scene suffering from head wounds and was taken to hospital.
Yesterday police said all three people remained in hospital in a stable condition.
Police initially said the arrested man was seized by officers "nearby" to Marten Road.
The Guardian is awaiting an update and further details from Waltham Forest Police, such as what the man was arrested on suspicion of.
