CHANGES to maternity care in the borough will be discussed at an extraordinary meeting of the council’s health scrutiny committee on Monday.
Averil Dongworth, chief executive of the Barking Havering and Redbridge University Trust (BHRUT), will be grilled on subjects including the proposed closure of maternity units at King George Hospital in Goodmayes.
The committee will also consider an NHS North East London report on wider changes to maternity services in the area.
The meeting takes place at Ilford Town Hall on October 22 at 6pm.
