POLICE have released details of what they suspect was a homophobic attack outside a nightclub.
A 23-year-old man fell to the pavement after he was punched in the neck outside Luxe in Loughton High Road.
The man, who is from Dagenham, east London, was taken to hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
Pc James Bloomfield, who is investigating the attack, said there had been a fight inside the club which he believes spilled out onto the street.
“We’re keen to hear from witnesses who were both in the club and saw the argument as well as the actual assault outside,” he added.
The attack happened on bank holiday Monday, August 27, but police have just released details, together with a CCTV image of a man they want to trace.
The attacker is described as white, in his early 20s, about 5ft 8ins, skinny and wearing a green Lacoste polo shirt, sunglasses and light jeans.
Witnesses or anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV image should call officers at Ongar police station on 101.
