THE trial of a man accused of suuplying a gun to Mark Duggan, whose death sparked last year's riots, has collapsed.
A court had heard that Kevin Hutchinson-Foster, 30, met Mr Duggan outside a school in Vicarage Road, Leyton, moments before he was taken by taxi to Tottenham, where he was shot dead by police in August 2011.
Mr Hutchinson-Foster, of Neville Road in Forest Gate, was accused of giving Mr Duggan a weapon during the meeting, which he denied.
But the jury in the case failed to agree on a verdict and a retrial will now be held, with a preliminary hearing due in November.
The shooting of Mr Duggan led to riots across the country, including the looting and vandalism of dozens of shops in Waltham Forest.
The school in Vicarage Road mentioned in the trial is thought to be St Joseph's Catholic Primary.
