AN appeal has been launched for volunteer 'Snow Angels' to help out people in Waltham Forest this winter.
The council is looking for residents who will pledge to help clear paths and pavements if it snows.
Each volunteer Snow Angel will be given free equipment including a 20 kilogramme bag of grit, a branded hi-visibility vest, protective gloves and a snow scoop or shovel.
The authority launched the scheme three years ago and says more than 360 people signed up in 2011.
