ART workshops and film screenings are continuing as part of Black History Month in the borough.
Following last night’s Black History Gala Night at Walthamstow Assembly Hall, which featured Tony Hendricks, Quincy and Kat B as well as local artists Mizz Camara, Jodi-Ann Forrester and The Real Deal, there will be a family art event and film screening this weekend.
A free art activity session based on the poem The Crayon Box that Talked by Shane DeRolf is due to take place in Walthamstow Library at 10.30am tomorrow.
There will also be a screening of The Princess and the Frog, which is set in New Orleans during the Jazz Age, at 1.30pm tomorrow, also in Walthamstow Library, with tickets costing £2 for over-12s and £1 for under-12s.
Booking in advance by calling 020 8496 3000 is advised.
