Girl band Little Mix are said to be calling it quits next year, The Sun has reported.
An insider has said that the stars will be quitting the band after their 2022 tour is finished. They will then start on their solo careers, according to the source.
The 2022 tour comes to an end in May, and this could possibly be the end of the band.
The source told The Sun: “There has been a lot of speculation about the future of Little Mix but it is now very clear that the end of the road has been reached.
“A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans.”
Little Mix are set to announce this news in November.
Rumored rift with Jesy Nelson
This news comes in the wake of a rumoured rift between the remaining members of Little Mix and ex bandmate Jesy Nelson, who has received criticism for ‘blackfishing’ in her recent single with Nicki Minaj, Boyz.
‘Blackfishing’ is when a non-black person alters their appearance to make it seem as though they are black.
The rumoured rift was highlighted by an Instagram live hosted by Nelson and Minaj, in which Minaj called the Little Mix stars “clowns”.
Videos shared on social media over the weekend at bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s birthday party appeared to show her react to the comments made.
In the video she says: “I know my character, you all know my character, everyone who meets me knows my character.
“That’s all I care about.”
