EastEnders fans have called for an "obnoxious" and "bad-mouthed" character to be cut from the BBC show.
Viewers took to an online forum to express how much Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) is becoming "tough to watch".
Linda has been a fixture on the soap opera since 2013 when she and her family were added to help revamp the programme.
Since then, Kellie's character has been at the heart of a number of important stories such as the one involving her struggle to accept that her son Johnny (played by Sam Strike) is gay.
EastEnders fans call for 'obnoxious' character to be axed from the show
Despite being a key part of several major storylines over the last decade, fans of the BBC show have grown tired of her.
One EastEnders viewer said it’s "especially tough" to watch Linda because she is such an "obnoxious" and "bad-mouthed drunk," adding: "If she was a happy and flirty drunk what’s not to love."
Another added: "That little tantrum was too much, do grown women act that way? She's got nothing going for her at the moment, they should never have made her cheat on Mick."
A third person wrote on Reddit: "Kellie brights an amazing actress so it’s not on her but they just haven’t portrayed linda as a drunk all that well.

"I mean it’s been great for realism to be fair but just not for viewership, it’s too samey and you get sick and tired of it, it’s not even fun to watch. on the other hand, they did phil’s alcohol addiction great, i bloody love drunk phil he’s brilliant, especially when he gets in that digger and destroyed the car lot ‘just for fun’ etc etc.
"Linda drunk though is just pure misery, repetitive and annoying."
However, one fan hit back at the others, saying: "She's just found her mother kept a big secret from her about her father for years, what she supposed to be happy about it? And Kellie Bright's one of the shows best ever actresses, why so desperate to get rid of her?"
