Jordan Spence is hoping he can secure a place in the West Ham first team up after making a substitute appearance in the 4-1 win against Southampton.
The defender has had several loan spells away from the club but has featured three times for the Hammers this season.
He was introduced late on against the Saints and the youngster is hopeful he will get more chances in the first team.
Speaking to West Ham’s website, Spence said: “I have always said that I believe that I am good enough to play in the top flight. I have had the opportunity to do that a few times now and it is where every young footballer in this club should be working towards.
“I have now got to continue working hard, day in day out, and hope that people notice that so I get more chances to show what I can do.”
