Crostyx juniors were in impressive form as they lost just one game in ten matches during the second round of the Essex mini-league.
The Under-12 girls continued Crostyx’s success as they thrashed Witham 6-0 in their opening encounter.
Excellent movement from Lucy and May up front caused problems for Witham and Jasmine slotted home to open the scoring before player of the match May doubled the lead.
Sienna, Ruby and Lara moved the ball well and helped Crostyx increase their goal difference.
In a tougher second match Croxtyx edged out Brentwood 1-0 with player of the match Ruby driving the team with her strong link-up play.
The Under-12 boys maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they played Redbridge & Ilford, Witham and Brentwood.
Despite conceding an early goal against Redbridge & Ilford Crostyx created a number of chances with Nathan Moscow and Francesco Monti causing problems and Freddie Britt squared the match 1-1 late on.
The boys then beat Witham 3-0 with an impressive display in their second game with Britt grabbing a brace.
In their final match Crostyx played out a goalless draw with Brentwood.
Tenacious defending from Hugo Standring kept Brentwood chances at a premium and Killian Flynn came close late on for Crostyx.
The Under-10 girls team beat tournament hosts Witham 2-0 with Jasmine applying two clinical finishes to secure victory.
Aided by the composed play of Sienna, strong tackling by Lottie and the trickery of Sophia, Crostyx held out for a well-deserved win.
The girls continued their winning streak, beating Brentwood 3-1.
Helen and Isobel set the tone early on, hassling Brentwood into mistakes while Lottie and Sienna were again at the heart of things going forward.
Jasmine was again on target to open the scoring but despite heroic tackling from Sophie, Brentwood levelled before the break.
Undeterred, a confident Crostyx went straight back on the attack and a superb piece of individual skill saw Helen restore the lead before Sienna put the result beyond doubt with a third.
The Under-10 boys team were unfortunate to suffer a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Redbridge int heir first game but the team recovered well to record convincing wins over Witham (3-0) and Brentwood (4-0).
