Ryan FC received the FA Charter Standard Club Award at London FA's seventh annual awards, held at West Ham United’s Boleyn Ground.
The award is the pinnacle of the FA Charter Standard programme and was presented to the club as recognition for their excellence in promoting football standards at a grassroots level both on and off the field.
On receiving the award Club Founder and Secretary Richard Williams said this justifies all the hard work of everyone at the club over the past few years.
Since Ryan FC was formed nearly 18 years ago they have had two players sign as professional, six scholars and over 40 players sign for academies.
The club currently runs a coaching evening for managers and coaches from other clubs, as well as holding Level One courses and mentoring young coaches and referees.
The FA programme was set up to help clubs improve standards of coaching, administration, player development and child protection.
Ryan FC now hope to work closely alongside the London FA to develop relationships with the schools in the area and Waltham Forest Council.
