Patrick Brown was beaten in the Wanstead 5km flats after back-to-back victories in the event the previous two weekends.
Brown was beaten by Thomas Grimes whose time of 17.59 was enough to see him across the line before Brown who finished in 18.15.
Grimes continued an impressive weekend on the Sunday by finishing second in the West Ham 5km winter series, posting a time of 18.06.
Derek Wright came seventh in that race in 21.58 having previously come four places behind Grimes in the Wanstead 5km flats with a time of 20.59.
Emiko Priest was another to improve on his position from the previous week, jumping up nine places to 26th with a time of 27.58 in the Wanstead 5km flats.
Mohammed Aklaqul Ambea was unable to improve on his 12th place finish from the previous week, slipping nine places to 21st by finishing in a time of 29.34.
