Wanstead A A sit four points behind Division One leaders Asian after Buckhurst Hill A got two runs off the last ball to earn a thrilling tie in the Metropolitan Essex Indoor League.

Batting first, Wanstead A had posted a total of 150 for four, with Hassan (28) and Adnan Akram (34 not out) the main contributors.

In reply, Daniel Platt made 40 but it was an unbeaten stand between Ed Buxton (41 not out) and Slisz (42 not out) that helped the match to its exciting conclusion.

Another entertaining contest saw Harold Wood successfully defend a low total of 114 for four to defeat South Woodford A by 35 runs.

Clarke (33), Hafeez (26) and Ikram (25 not out) had been the main scorers in Wood's total before Vadher (32) put up some brave resistance in reply.

However, three wickets in one over ended Woodford's challenge as they were dismissed for 79.

Loughton A (141 for ten) bravely attemped to overhaul Frenford's imposing 159 for four before a run out off the first ball of the last over ended their challenge 18 runs short.

Fiaz (56 not out) made an impressive undefeated half-century for Frenford, with Malik (33) and Bilal (29 not out) also made useful knock.
