A hat-trick from Ashleigh Lewis-Shodeinde helped Eastern Avenue Under-16s brush aside Hutton 7-0 on Sunday to maintain their 100 per cent Essex County Girls League record.
Lewis-Shodeinde scored all her three goals within the first 20 minutes as the home team dominated play from beginning to end.
In between the second and third efforts from Lewis-Shodeinde, Chloe Humberstone-Gilroy found the back of the net with a delicate lob over the keeper.
As the first half wore on Hutton’s high backline frustrated Avenue, who found chances harder to come by, having raced into a 4-0 lead, with Ayse Yuksel fashioning the best opportunity when she hit the post just before half-time.
The away side looked the more likely to score in the second half but were undone by the brilliance of Daisy Davis, who bagged a brace before Molly Rose added a seventh to complete the impressive win.
