There were back-to-back victories for East London Runner Thomas Grimes at the weekend as he came home first at the West Ham Park 5km and the Wanstead Flats 5km.
Grimes was in action on Saturday in Wanstead and stopped the clock in 17.50 to secure top spot.
Also finishing inside the top ten at the event were Euan Brown (18.11) in second, Patrick Brown (18.36) was fourth, Russell Price (20.23) took eighth and Tim Le Rasle’s (20.29) parkrun debut ended with a tenth place finish.
On Sunday, Grimes came home in first place at West Ham in a time of 17.38, while fellow club member Derek Wright was seventh in 21.44.
At the Luton Marathon, Manjit Bedi recorded a personal best time and also finished tenth overall.
A strong display saw Bedi come across the line in 2.51.50 and helped him to top spot in the V45 age category.
William also took on the event and claimed a personal best time of 3.21.46. His performance meant he secured 89th position in his first marathon.
David Wyatt ran a PB at the ‘After Adoption Regents Park 10km’. He recorded 51.21 which was enough to claim his PB. His time meant he finished 187th out of 541 runners.
At the Valentines Park 5k, Amadeus Furlong impressed to come home in third position in a time of 18.47.
Manjit Singh was shortly behind Furlong as he stopped the clock in 20.05 for sixth place while Peter Rains did enough to secure sixth position with a time of 21.52.
Wright was the final East London Runner home as he recorded a time of 21.52 for 11th position.
