Old Loughtonians ladies first XI played out their fifth draw of the season as they were held 1-1 at home to Wimbledon on Saturday.
Old Loughts were sluggish from the outset and put themselves under pressure early on.
In the ninth minute Wimbledon were allowed to play a ball that bypassed the Lought's midfield and went straight to forward Tamsyn Naylor who duly scooped the ball over the Loughts keeper.
In the second half the Loughts girls began to set the pace, robbing the ball off the Wimbledon defence and dominating possession.
They had to wait until the 43rd minute though for the clearest of chances as Ele Bray was waiting to tuck the ball in at the back post to make it 1-1.
The chances became more scarce as the half went on and the final whistle left a frustrated Loughts once again having to share the points.
Loughts remain sixth, only one point off fourth, in the Investec Women's Hockey League East Conference.
The men's first XI enjoyed a happier afternoon as they overturned a 5-2 defeat earlier in the season to beat Richmond 5-2.
Richmond opened the scoring after five minutes when Josh Smith dispatched a short corner to put the home side 1-0 in front.
Loughts applied strong resilience though as Conor Caplan fired in a shot towards goal to be subtly deflected by Josh Mepham to bring the score to 1-1.
A penalty corner was then put away by Loughts top scorer, Oliver Didham, soon after to give the visitors to a 2-1 lead but a lapse of concentration from the Loughts defence allowed Richmond to level the scores before half time.
Five minutes into the second half Loughts found themselves 3-2 down as Euan Corbett scored from a short corner.
Undeterred however, Loughts stuck to their task and Didham scored from an awarded penalty stroke before Mepham put Loughts ahead, scoring from a short corner.
Four minutes later Tom Stumbke made a searing run and found Mepham on the far post who scored his second to round off a thrilling 5-3 victory.
The win puts Loughts on 15 points and fifth in the Division.
The season restarts on February 2, with a home game against Oxted.
