Newbury Forest surrendered their pole position in Division One by losing 6-3 at home to Old Chelmsfordians.
Bradley Gates, Nick Marrable and Scotty Emmons got on the scoresheet for Newbury but a Josh Cole hat-trick, a double from James Ward and a solo effort from Marti Callum made sure Old Chelmsfordians secured all three points to go top of the table. The two teams will meet again in the league next weekend.
Bishops Stortford Swifts are up to second after they overcame visitors Wadham Lodge 2-1. Sam Prendergast grabbed Lodge's goal.
Leigh Ramblers edged a 3-2 away win at Castle United thanks to a Jay Hockey brace and a solitary strike from Dominic Loche.
That victory puts Ramblers top of Division Two after Roydon lost 3-0 at Old Barkabbeyans.
