Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has expressed his delight at the fact Emmanuel Adebayor will not be taking part with Togo in the Africa Cup of Nations next month.
The striker has been involved in a row with his country's football federation over match bonuses.
Villas-Boas, speaking to BBC Sport, said: “We'll probably have the player here in January, which is a massive boost as you know, it gives me other options and possibilities.
“At the moment we benefit from that situation.”
