Table-tennis talents from Waltham Forest’s Norlington School for Boys finished runners up in the Under-16 category at the regional final of the Jack Petchey Foundation London Schools competition.
The London North event was held at Barnet’s London Academy and Norlington’s team consisted of Abdullah Ubaidullah, Amin Saibi, Fateen Rehman and Umar-Al-Farooq Patel.
Ubaidullah said: “Table tennis is a great sport for everyone and this competition gives you a chance to see how good you are. It would be great to have more tournaments like this.”
Founder of JPF, Jack Petchey, CBE, said: “I’ve been a fan of table tennis since my own youth. It’s a fantastic sport for young people to play.”
