Frenford won the Senior Division Cup by beating Springfield 1-0 after extra-time.
The game remained goalless at the interval with Springfield creating chances, the best of which fell to Graham Hall but he fired over.
Opportunities were few and far between in the second period and with the match going into extra-time, it wasn’t until late on that Frenford claimed a winner.
As penalties loomed, Stuart Williams latched on to a through ball and held his nerve to loft it over the keeper and seal the trophy.
Premier Division leaders Kelvedon Hatch made sure they gained maximum points at the weekend by beating White Ensign 4-0.
Steve Willis netted twice, with Mike Daniels and Lee Cody also on the scoresheet.
With Kelvedon winning, it meant Southminster St Leonards dropped out of the race for the title as they lost 2-0 away at Frenford Senior.
Craig Marsh and Ryan Oliva netted for Frenford, who are now the only team that can catch Kelvedon Hatch, provided they win all their games in hand.
Hutton are relegated as other results went against them. But Westhamians hauled themselves out of the relegation zone with a battling 2-0 win away to M&B Club.
Two second-half goals from Steven Barlex and Duane Miller sealed the vital victory.
Manford Way won 3-1 at Aldborough Athletic thanks to Danny Cook, Tom Dosser and Joe Lovell all hitting the target. Aaron Courtnell was the lone Aldborough scorer.
Harold Hill are in the relegation zone after their game at Rayleigh Town ended in a 3-2 defeat.
Ricky Thompson, John Taylor and Ross Webster scored for the home side, with Dale Godfrey and Shaun Pryke replying for Harold.
Hill are on 21 points, while Westhmaians and Manford Way are on 22, although Harold do have a game in hand.
Steven Johnson scored twice and was joined on the scoresheet by Samson King as Buckhurst Hill beat Hannakins Farm 3-0.
There were only three games in Division One on Saturday but each had importance attached to them.
The top two met as Bishops Stortford Swifts, sitting in second place, welcomed leaders Newbury Forest and in a pulsating end-to-end game it was Swifts who came out on top, winning 4-3.
Michael Kennedy bagged two goals, one via a penalty, and was abetted by Xanial Doku and Gavin Cockman, who scored the winner in the last minute.
The victory puts Swifts on equal points with Newbury Forest and also means Springfield are now out of the promotion picture.
Wadham Lodge, who didn’t have a game, can make a late challenge if they win their matches in hand. It is just as tight at the bottom and Benfleet, who lie at the foot of the table, helped their survival bid by beating Herongate Atheltic 4-2.
Robbie Topley and Stuart Paton scored two each as Benfleet move level on points with the teams above them.
Herongate’s goals came via Michael Dekeyzer and Danny Steel and safety is not yet assured as they have 21 points.
Runwell Hospital lost 1-0 at home to Canning Town and they sit just above the relegation zone. Ongar Town need to win their final game and then wait on other results to avoid the drop.
Ryan ended their season on a high as they won their Division Two encounter with Lakeside 4-2.
Kwaku Samuel, Greg Moorse, Germaine Gregoire and William Owhor scored for Ryan, with Lakeside getting their goals via Dean Maguire and an own goal.
Newham United beat Castle United 4-1 as Nduka Osuwangu claimed a brace, with David Nott and Frank Sullivan also firing home goals.
In Division Three, Shenfield AFC put an end to Basildon Town’s promotion hopes and strengthened their own with a 4-1 victory.
Billy Texeria bagged another hat-trick and Luke Williamson added the other effort. Basildon’s consolation came via an own goal.
Toby have an outside chance of getting promoted and did their case no harm by beating Ramsden Scotia 3-1.
Ryan Morgan, Desmond Gallen and Anthony Cunnigham were the scorers for Toby, while Ramsden goal’s was netted by Nick Arnold.
