Waltham Forest Swimming Club saw a host of youngsters compete in their second age group meet at Pool and Track where a number of medals were won.
The 200m individual medley was won by nine-year-old Ryan McCoy and 12-year-old Jodie Hull, who both took home gold medals. Georgie Park, nine, Elise Clark, 13, Lewis Hayhow, 10, and Lee-Roy Zozo-Gitton, 16, picked up silver medals.
Bronze medals meanwhile went to Olivia Walsh, ten, Jasmine Iley, 11, and Rhianna Lee Pagan, 12.
It was a debut gala for Lexie Andrews, nine, who started swimming with the club as a beginner. Andrews took part in three races and achieved impressive personal bests.
Development coach Gavin Povall said: “This meet highlighted many swimmers who have the potential to achieve great things, with many more waiting in the wings in the club’s learn to swim group, club swimmers and development squads, craving for the opportunity to take part in their first gala.”
