Tottenham Hotspur are ready to offer Barcelona £7m in return for out-of-favour striker David Villa.
Spurs join north London rivals Arsenal in the hunt for the Spanish striker, who will be made available this summer.
Villa is keen gain first team football ahead of the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.
The Daily Mail reports that Barcelona are holding out for a figure of closer to £12 for Villa.
The paper also suggests Spurs are showing interest in Sevilla centre-back Alberto Botia.
