Aldersbrook were defeated on their travels by Wanstead in the WEEL Triples League on Wednesday, losing 5-2.
Joe Staggs’ rink of Ian Robertson and Steve Plastow lost 25-10 to Brian Kelly’s rink, whilst Eddie Townsend’s rink of John Plunkett and Brian Gediking went down 30-7 to Ralph Dearman’s rink.
Jerry Quy’s rink of Len Spiller and Chris Newman won 19-16 against John Pluck’s rink. Two days earlier in the Redbridge Afternoon league, Aldersbrook easily beat Ilford at home six points to zero.
Staggs’ rink of Plunkett, Spiller and John Lapping won 18-15 against a team skipped by J Kennedy, though Ilford forfeited 25 per cent of their score for only fielding three players.
Ian Robertson’s rink of Fred Gray, Gediking and Mark Mountney won 17-15 against Matt Frost.
