Division One
Ilford Catholic moved into second place in the table after a comprehensive victory over Roding Valley on Saturday.
Catholic batted first and found themselves in trouble at 34 for four but Abbas Saleem (53) led the way with shots all around the wicket to notch up a fine half-century.
Vince Mulholland joined Saleem in a 64-run partnership and after the latter had departed, Mulholland went on to score 43 as Catholic posted a competitive 165 for eight.
In the field, John Rogers (three for 11) and Vince Mulholland (three for seven) ran through the batting, reducing Roding to 23 for six before they were dismissed for 80. Catholic play Theydon Bois on Saturday.
Division Five
An excellent bowling effort from Ilford Catholic Seconds skittled Takeley Seconds for just 57 runs and ensured victory.
Catholic bowled first and 14-year-old Anujan Thiru (three for 13) and Mukhtiar Singh (one for 18) pinned the batsmen down early on. Rabbul Muzammel then ran through the Takeley middle order to take four for 15 as they were dismissed cheaply.
In reply, Catholic wasted no time with the run chase as opener Annanth Kumar blasted his way to 42 to see Catholic home by eight wickets. Catholic are unbeaten in the league from three games and play Matching Green next Saturday.

Ilford Catholic Thirds defeated Wenlock Arms by 82 runs via a brilliant century from Mohammed Zaman.
The batsman scored 125 to help Catholic record 202 for seven before Wenlock were dismissed for 120.
