Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade insists his side did not have to change a thing after they bounced back from their first defeat with a 1-0 win over Rotherham United.

The O's lost their unbeaten record after losing at Coventry City on Tuesday but a Kevin Lisbie goal extended their lead to three points at the top of League One.

Slade said: "It's a very important win, we can say that at least. You've got to look at the bigger picture and the smaller picture. The smaller picture was to bounce back today and that was important.

"We have a special group and we're doing particularly well. My message to the players before today's game was we don't have to change anything. In terms of our league performances we're 87 points from 43 games [calendar year] so we don't have to change a thing."

Orient keeper Jamie Jones was not required to make a significant save against the Millers and their manager was quick to praise his team's defending at Brisbane Road.

Slade said: "Nathan Clarke and Scott Cuthbert were excellent and we've had to reshuffle with Gary Sawyer coming in. I thought they defended stoutly.

"I can't actually think of a clear cut opening that Rotherham actually created this afternoon. That's how well we've defended against what is a decent side pushing for a top six spot."
