A strengthened Buckhurst Hill side recorded an 11-6 victory against Epsom in East Division One.
There were four new players in the Hill side but they fell behind just ten seconds after the face off and then Epsom doubled their lead.
Bucks responded and were soon back in the game through a well-worked goal by Johnny McGee. A brilliant diving effort from behind goal by defender Nick Milburn levelled the match and then James Alawi put Hill ahead at the end of the first quarter.
Buckhurst then took control and made their strength tell with a lot of hard work and strong running across the field.
As well as some good team goals, McGee twice beat the Epsom keeper with unorthodox finishes, while Robin Allen scored a powerful individual goal after fighting through the defence.
McGee ended with four goals, Chris Merritt, Alawi and Allen bagged braces and Milburn ended with his single.
Bucks travel to newly-promoted Northampton next hoping to build on this victory.
