Fourth XI Premier Division
Chingford Fourths lost by six wickets at Upminster Fifths and remain bottom of the pile, almost 60 points from safety.
Hosts Upminster put on a sizeable total of 269 for four before declaring.
Chingford were miserable in their reply and had only four batsmen even reach double figures as they fell to 130 all out.
Buckhurst Hill Fourths could only draw at Leigh on Sea Thirds but remain in the hunt for promotion.
Currently third in the league standings and 51 points off the top two, Buckhurst Hill batted first and put on 231 before being removed.
Mark Slatford (55) and Aatish Parmar (49) top scored in that total but the bowlers could not finish the job off.
John Palmer was the exception to that though, helping himself to five-for 46 from 17 overs but his efforts alone were not enough and Leigh on Sea held out with the score at 188 for five.
