Justin Edinburgh says it is a case of business as usual for Leyton Orient ahead of their top-of-the-table clash at Wrexham on Saturday.
A 3-1 comeback victory against Bromley in their last outing ensured Orient head into the game a point clear of Wrexham who occupy third spot.
While he acknowledges the game against a title rival takes on a greater significance, Edinburgh feels there is no reason for Orient to alter their approach at the Racecourse Ground.
“We won’t do anything differently because we are unbeaten on the road and the players know how to win big games,” Edinburgh said when quizzed on how he will prepare his side for the game.
“We will continue to reach the standards we have set. Training takes care of itself and we will hope to go there and continue the good run we are on.”
The O’s will be hopeful of coming away from the visit to Wrexham with a positive result after a run of just one defeat in 20 National League games so far this season.
Salford City are now Orient’s closest challengers for top spot and sit a place above Wrexham due to superior goal difference.
Edinburgh says Orient’s ability to take every game as it comes has been key to fuelling their strong start to the season and will continue to inform their approach.
“We go again and it is another big game for us. I always say this and don’t want to sound like a broken record, but we take each game on its merit,” he said.
“We know it is an important game and we will look to try and continue doing what we have been doing on the road.”
Wrexham had been set to head into Saturday’s meeting sitting at the top of the table but drew 1-1 with Maidstone United in their last outing.
With Maidstone sitting 18th in the table and flirting with the drop zone, the failure to pick up a win came as somewhat of a surprise.
