ARSENAL fans will be delighted with the news that midfielder Mathieu Flamini is hopeful of sorting out his contract situation at the Emirates Stadium.
There has been much speculation that the former Marseille man would cash-in on his status of being a free agent in the summer to head for Italy.
But the industrious 24-year-old Frenchman appears happy with life under Gunners boss Arsene Wenger after becoming a regular starter this season.
"I am talking with the club and we will see what happens," Flamini told The Mirror. "I hope to stay at Arsenal."
And despite Arsenal trailing Manchester United by six points in the race for the Premier League title, Flamini still feels confident the Gunners are still in the hunt.
He continued: "We're still in the race.
"It's always important to believe. We have to keep going, we have to win every game."
