SPURS skipper Ledley King's troublesome knee has seen him ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The England defender has already missed much of the season and has only made just ten appearances this season. But while the 27-year-old feels in good shape and has proven his class to new boss Juande Ramos by leading the north London club to the Carling Cup, it appears as if the Spanish coach is happy for his skipper to rest the knee and come back fully fit for next season.
"My knee is actually feeling good at the moment and there is no inflammation, but we have to look at the bigger picture and accept that this is an ideal point in time to recover further, get best advice and make sure that I come back fitter," King said in a statement on the club's official website.
"They are six games I could well have taken part in, but we all believe this is worth doing for the longer term benefit."
