Martin Ling has left Leyton Orient today.
Assistant manager Dean Smith also has parted company with the club.
Brisbane Road insiders claim their exits were by 'mutual consent.'
Orient chairman Barry Hearn said that "circumstances" prompted Ling's departure. He described Ling as a "fantastic manager" but said that the club must "turn a corner."
The O's are currently fourth bottom in League One, in the drop zone, without a win in eight games. The double departure follows the 2-1 home defeat to Bristol Rovers at the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday.
Youth team boss Kevin Nugent takes the reins as caretaker manager.
He will be in charge when the O's take on Southend on Tuesday.
More to follow.
