LEYTON Orient can now claim to have international class in their starting line-up.

Eighteen-year-old defender Jordan Spence was this week called up to the England under-19 squad to face Spain in a friendly match next month.

Spence is currently at Brisbane Road on loan from Premier League West Ham United.

The youngster has looked assured and solid in the defence for Orient in recent games, where he generally fills in at centre-half.

The international stage is not unfamiliar to him either.

Spence has skippered the national team at every age group.

The Spain clash will form part of the England under-19 squad’s preparation for the European Under-19 Championships in Ukraine.
