DAGENHAM and Redbridge striker Paul Benson has predicted a winning climax to the season against play-off rivals Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
The 29-year-old believes the Daggers will emerge 2-1 victors at Victoria Road tomorrow, a result that would see them claim a lucrative place in the top seven, and a chance to slug it out for a place in League One next season.
Benson insists the team will head into the game with attack in mind, even though a draw would be enough to see them pip Shrewsbury to seventh.
“We haven't played negatively for 45 games, and we don't know how to play that way,” he said. “We know they've got to come at us and I think we can do it.
“I think we'll win 2-1. The gaffer will want us to go out there and play positively. A draw's enough but we won't be playing for one. We won't let negative thoughts creep in to our game.”
