DAGGERS' midfielder Glen Southam has left the club after his contract was terminated by mutual consent.
Southam has played over 200 games for Dagenham, scoring 28 goals, and was a key player in the side's promotion to the football league.
However, he has struggled to hold down a regular place in John Still's first XI this season, and has decided to move on.
He said: “I've had an amazing five years with Dagenham & Redbridge, which have given me the happiest memories of my football career to date and I will be sad to be leaving.
“But I feel at this stage in my career I need a fresh challenge. I'd like to thank John and the club for the opportunity to develop my skills over the past five years, but also for this opportunity to seek pastures new.”
Manager Still told the club's official website: “Glenn has been an integral part in the rise of this club, he was my first signing and should always be remembered for the part he played in the success we have enjoyed and I wish him well wherever he may go.”
