DAGENHAM and Redbridge take on Birmingham City of the Premier League this evening (Wednesday), at Victoria Road.
John Still’s League Two outfit intend to use the encounter to “fine tune” their game, ahead of the start of the season, on August 8.
Deputy boss Terry Harris explained how the illustrious fixture came about.
“We were due to play them last year but that never happened. They said then that they would put it back a year” he said.
After Birmingham, the Daggers take on Leyton Orient on Saturday.
They could take inspiration from the way that the O’s dispatched Newcastle Utd, last weekend.
Harris also revealed that the Daggers summer signing spree could be over.
Kick-off tonight is at 7.45pm.
