A SIX goal thriller handed Leyton Orient a precious point.

Orient's game with Yeovil finished 3-3 with both sides coming close to winning.

The O's secured away victories against Colchester United and Bristol Rovers heading into this clash against Yeovil Town at Huish Park today (Saturday).

Orient needed to get points on the board after defeats to Oldham and Charlton at home.

The visitors got off to great start with Scott McGleish scoring a header after five minutes.

But the hosts levelled through Gavin Tomlin, who scored a penalty after Charlie Daniels fouled Jonathan Obika.

Five minutes before half-time Yeovil took the lead through Obika.

But Orient equalised within two minutes when Andros Townsend, filling in for the injured Sean Thornton, scored to make it 2-2.

Danny Schofield put the Somerset side in front shortly after the restart but Ryan Jarvis made sure the Waltham Forest outfit went home with a point when he scored after 61 minutes.

The result means Orient are now 14th position in League One.
