DEFENDER Calum Davenport underwent surgery today (Saturday August 22) after he and his mother were both stabbed at his home late last night.
The 26-year-old centre back was attacked at his home in Kempston, Bedfordshire leaving him with serious injuries, while his mother is said to be recovering.
In a statement on their website the club said: "The club's medical team are in contact with hospital staff.
"The thoughts of everyone at West Ham are with Calum and his family and, due to the ongoing police investigation, no further information will be released at this time.'
