A DEFENSIVE nightmare has engulfed Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Last weekend, Sebastien Bassong and Ledley King hobbled off during Spurs’ 3-0 defeat to Chelsea.
It meant the pair joined fellow backs Johnathon Woodgate and Michael Dawson on the physio’s table.
Bassong has since recovered.
It comes as a blow to Redknapp, who rates King alongside John Terry in terms of quality.
"Central defenders like that are difficult to come by, and Ledley's up there in the John Terry class when he's fit “he said.
“He's just picked up a couple of injuries in the last few weeks, and that's concerned me."
"When you don't train all week and then try to put yourself under pressure, it can happen. Ledley's that good that it's a difficult one, especially as I have no one else, so if he's fit he's in my team.”
Redknapp had more bad news for fans.
“Woodgate's nowhere near playing again" he told the Daily Mirror.
