WALTHAM Abbey progressed to the fourth round of the Essex Senior Cup after an extra-time victory over Stanway Rovers.
Billy Holland and Stuart Zanone got the goals for the Abbotts during normal time, and after 90 minutes the score was locked at 2-2.
But James Elmes popped up in extra-time for the decisive third goal to sink the Ridgeons Premier League side.
Meanwhile, Waltham Forest's Essex Senior Cup third round game against AFC Hornchurch was abandoned after 10 minutes after an injury to Gbenga Sonuga.
