OLYMPIC champion boxer James DeGale made light work of novice fighter Ally Morrison as he coasted to a fourth successive win amongst the paid ranks at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
DeGale, who trains at Loughton Academy's state-of-the-art gym, reeled off a succession of damaging shots before referee Howard Foster stepped in to call the fight.
Morrison was no match for the Beijing Games gold-winning middleweight, as DeGale blasted the Cumbrian boxer with four successive left hooks before standing him up on his toes with a devastating right hook.
DeGale, who trained with five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather Jnr in America over the summer, believes he is starting to deliver on his considerable promise.
"I told people I had the style to make it as a pro and I showed a bit of it there,” said DeGale. “I have been sparring with the best in the country already and I know I can go all the way.”
