WALTHAM ABBEY produced a stunning comeback to record only their third win of the season at Canvey Island, with the three points giving them some much-needed breathing space from the relegation zone.
The Abbotts seemed to be heading for their fourth loss in five league games when Greg Cohen and Jason Hallett netted to put the hosts 2-0 up.
But striker Billy Holland pulled one back before the break to give the visitors hope. And the turnaround was completed in an incredible second half, when Ricky Edwards and Xaniel Doku struck without reply.
Elsewhere, Waltham Forest lost ground on Division One North's leading pack when they were comfortably beaten 3-0 at home to high-flying East Thurrock United.
Meanwhile, Leyton managed an impressive two-all away draw with Northwood in a result that sees them remain safely in mid-table.
