WALTHAM ABBEY eased their relegation fears with a narrow victory over fellow-strugglers Hendon in the Ryman Premier Division.
The Abbotts moved three points clear of the drop zone with their single-goal victory on Saturday, although they have now played up to four games more than some of their closest rivals.
Elsewhere, Leyton played out a 2-2 draw with bottom-of-the-table Harlow Town. They take on local rivals Ilford on Tuesday.
