DAGENHAM & Redbridge remain very much in the driving seat at Christie Road at half-time.
Speculation before the match that the Daggers would adopt a more conservative approach proved unfounded as they took the game to Morecambe and created chances throughout the first half.
Jon Nurse and Romain Vincelot forced Barry Roche into saves early on, before Abu Ogogo fired a speculative volley towards goal that rebounded off the post.
Laurence Wilson had a free-kick palmed away by Tony Roberts for the hosts, but Dagenham came roaring back down the other end, Paul Benson hooking the ball to the back post that Danny Green managed to turn back into the six-yard box, and there was Scott Doe waiting to turn the ball home, only for Roche to come out of nowhere and make the save.
Mark Duffy was the biggest threat for the Shrimps, but Roberts denied him twice.
As the half-time whistle blows, Dagenham have one foot firmly in the play-off final.
