DAGENHAM & Redbridge manager John Still will run the rule over two French trialists during a friendly at Bromley tonight as the Daggers chief continues to shape his new-look squad for League One next season, writes Craig Rodhouse.
Versatile 21-year-old Goffin Boyoko and 20-year-old front man Molami Bokoto will both turn out for the League One new boys tonight in a bid to convince Still to offer them contracts at Victoria Road.
The pair come with a great degree of pedigree, with Boyoko graduating from the Clairefontaine academy, which has been the catalyst to the careers of many stars including Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka.
Boyoko can operate in both midfield and defence, and captained Lille’s reserve side, before also gaining a period of training with Manchester United’s reserves earlier this year.
Forward Bokoto also played for Lille, making two first team appearances, before completing a succesful trial at fellow League One side Southampton in 2009. However, complications at the club meant that a deal wasn’t finalised.
The East Londoners are preparing for their first season in England’s third flight for the first time in their history and Still seems intent on ensuring that his side remain competent in the division, following the arrival of seven other players over the summer.
