ORIENT boss Russell Slade has urged his players to follow the example being set by new striker Alex Revell during the team's pre-season campaign.
Revell, who arrived from Wycombe Wanderers this summer, has bagged three goals in four pre-season games, including one in last night's 4-0 victory over Truro in the Joma South West Challenge Cup. He also played a strong hand in the O's other three goals.
However, it is not Revell's goals that have won plaudits from Slade, but his tireless work rate.
“Alex worked his socks off (against Truro),” Slade told the club's official website. “The attitude, even in pre-season, towards the games has been first class.
“That's what we need to build our success on – that work ethic, doing the right things and working hard as a unit.”
