DAGENHAM & Redbridge conceded late as an Arsenal XI ran out 2-1 winners at Victoria Road last night.
The Daggers more than held their own against a youthful Gunners side, but they fell behind to a Sanchez Watt goal on 19 minutes after the forward was put through by Jay Simpson.
The hosts hit back four minutes after the break, Danny Green's corner being met by the head of Romain Vincelot, whose effort had too much power for keeper James Shea.
A morale-boosting draw appeared on the cards for the Daggers, but Arsenal struck late, Roarie Deacon firing in from 20 yards with just six minutes left.
Nevertheless, it was a good workout for John Still's men, who fielded a virtual full-strength XI for the game.
