THE recent bad weather has caused havoc to Essex Olympian Football League fixtures.
In total, 139 matches were lost over the four weekends prior to Christmas.
Last Saturday, only one match got started and that was at Maldon St. Marys where they played host to Leigh Ramblers.
Unfortunately, after 35 minutes, a blizzard set in and the match was abandoned when the lines became covered. The score at the time was 0-0
