Tyler Campbell returns from a trial at League One Swindon Town for Waltham Abbey, this weekend.
“He’s flying at the moment and he has a great attitude. He deserves everything he gets,” said boss Paul Wickenden of the striker.
The Abbotts travel to Great Wakering Rovers without defenders Jack Daveney and Dave Ayres, who are suspended.
Wickenden is looking to recruit a short-term replacement on loan from Bishops Stortford.
“I expect us to drop down the table from ninth when the other teams make up the games in hand,” he said.
“We are in a little bit of a false position at the moment. Once everyone catches us up we will know where we are and need to be.
Abbey look set to lose four points with the elimination of Leyton from Ryman one.
