THE MAN who played an instrumental role in drastic changes at Waltham Forest FC has quit the club.
Andy Perkins has resigned from the position of club secretary after spending more than 20 years in the role.
The merger with Walthamstow Pennant from playing as Leyton and also the relocation from the Hare and Hounds to Wadham Lodge in Walthamstow, happened under his stewardship.
A club spokesman said: “He will be a difficult act to follow.
“Andy’s work for the Club is much appreciated by the rest of the Committee.
“His workload will be shared for the rest of the season.
“We hope to enlist further volunteers onto the Committee at the AGM in June."
